Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)

With the PRF method, an endogenous blood plasma treatment, blood is taken from the patient and centrifuged for about 5 minutes. The PRF obtained contains growth factors and platelets, which are then injected into the affected joint. We use this method primarily for inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). The procedure was developed in orthopedics for lage joints such as shoulder and knee joints. The aim of this treatment is to support wound healing and tissue regeneration in temporomandibular joint diseases.

The costs for a treatment are 145 CHF.
